Top Ten Ways To Convert A Neocon Into A Libertarian

Media representing Libertarian Party beliefs, and explaining libertarian philosophy on the subject. The application of libertarian beliefs expressed by the party or others may or may not universally represent libertarian views on the topic for all adherents.

 By Robert Gutierrez

There seems to be a lot of misled Neoconservatives despite the growing Libertarian movement. After careful analysis, we decided to construct a top 10 list consisting of the best ways to convert a Neoconservative into a Liberty fanatic.

1. Teach them about the Federal Reserve.

They are the most powerful group of people on Earth. They control nearly everything including the Republicans and Democrats. They control the money supply: Money talks. Does a money tree exist? It does for this elite group of bankers that controls Washington D.C. and the rest of the World: The Federal Reserve

This would be above the #1 spot if there was such a thing. You can convert anyone by educating them about the Federal Reserve. Even Cindy Sheehan has been campaigning against the Federal Reserve.

2. Who are they? What do they believe? Do they know they're a Neocon?

You must discover if they are a Neocon in order to begin your intervention. Identify where they stand with their beliefs and go on from there. The liberty movement and the Tea Party seems to be in vogue these days: Does their Constitutional rhetoric match their beliefs?

Are they a Conservative? A Republican? A Libertarian? Who are they? Chances are they've been put through a washer and have been told what to believe by the Mainstream Republican Media.

Are they a Neocon?

Conservative - Specifically a "fusionist" conservative of the National Review - Heritage Foundation mold. Someone who believes in traditional morality and capitalism, and the need for a limited government to allow both to flourish.

Neoconservative - A "neocon" is more inclined than other conservatives toward vigorous government in the service of the goals of traditional morality and pro-business policies. Tends to favor a very strong foreign policy of America as well.

Libertarian - A libertarian opposes most or all government activities. Does not favor much or any government support for either moral or economic systems.

3. Introduce them to the false left-right paradigm.

Both Republicans & Democrats are in essence slightly differing wings of one party. The Big Government Party. The technical term for this is False Left-Right Paradigm. Together they forward the Continuity Of Agenda. That agenda is to complete the corporatist police state which we are now in the beginning stages of. Just like professional wresting the two parties pretend to be at odds with each other but behind the scenes they're really allies. This can be seen through most Presidential administrations where they rarely if ever reverse any actions taken by the previous administration. One party will rail against something but once they're in power they seem to forget about it ever existing and the government just continues to grow. A government where the bureaucracy, the banks, and the corporations have the power rather than the people.

Let us hope that the infiltration of Libertarians and Tea Party movement members into the Republican party will finally bring us real change. Also lets hope those in this nation who call themselves liberal will finally wake up and realize that the Democratic party is not a liberal party but rather a militant corporatist party like the Republicans. We encourage Green Party members and those of other liberal third parties to infiltrate the Democratic party and remove the corruption.

Let the American people finally have two real choices in the voting booth or better yet end the illegal Unconstitutional monopoly of the two party system. Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention political parties having any role in government and in fact many of the founders frowned on the idea of having political parties. This includes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams. We should be voting for individuals and not blindly along party lines. It's time to wake up and save this nation from the bureaucratic establishment of the Democrats and Republicans. (Source)

4. Ask if China should invade the United States to solve our problems.

Neocons seem to be fans of policing the World; getting involved in affairs that are not our business.

Intervention:

1: to occur, fall, or come between points of time or events
2: to enter or appear as an irrelevant or extraneous feature or circumstance
3a: to come in or between by way of hindrance or modification
b: to interfere with the outcome or course especially of a condition or process (as to prevent harm or improve functioning)
4: to occur or lie between two things
5a: to become a third party to a legal proceeding begun by others for the protection of an alleged interest
b: to interfere usually by force or threat of force in another nation's internal affairs especially to compel or prevent an action

An overwhelming majority of the wars that we fight are classified as interventions. The current drug war occurring along our southern border ranks as one of the deadliest areas in the world. 1,234 people were killed in July of this year due to the drug war.

Al Qaeda-like tactics are regularly used: People are regularly beheaded and car bombs are utilized. Our war on drugs is not only a failure, but the problem is getting much worse.

China has a powerful military and could easily take care of our problem; right? Do we need help like the rest of the World "needs" our help? Does China have the right to intervene with their military just as we do throughout the World? Should China occupy Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Northern Mexico? Wouldn't it be for our own good?

5. Ask if they would allow a group of people to take away their right to consume something they enjoy.

What's enjoyable for one person is wrong for another. I can't go a day without coffee. I've always found it funny how Mormons can't consume caffeine. It's a reasonable belief, but I love my coffee and so many people love caffeine. Can you imagine if it became a regulated substance? It doesn't sound like an unreasonable proposition compared to the reasons behind other banned substances.

So many people would be upset, but their body doesn't belong to them right? It causes your heart rate to increase and a regular drinker will become irritable if they go a day without it. The side effects of coffee truly rivals other banned substances.

We do not live in a Democracy which is cited as the reason for people to vote away the rights of others. "Democracy" is not stated anywhere in the U.S. Constitution or The Bill of Rights. We live in a Republic.

"....and to THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS..."

6. Question them about penny pinching on one hand, yet ignoring the cost of questionable wars on the other.

War is EXPENSIVE (and lucrative to those in power).

The current cost of both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is over $1 Trillion.

However, even more shocking, our Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, declared that the Pentagon was missing $2.3 Trillion on September 10, 2001, the day before 9/11.

"Rumsfeld declared war on 9/10/01″ - CBS News, stating;

"The adversary is closer to home. It's the Pentagon bureaucracy."

"In fact, it could be said, it's a matter of life and death."

- Donald Rumsfeld, U.S. Secretary of Defense, 9/10/01

On 9/11/01, the office of Resource Services Washington at the Pentagon was destroyed. The office was responsible for accounting, bookkeeping, and budget analysis. 34 of its 65 civilian employees were killed.

Did we forget about the $2.3 trillion?

What does $1 trillion look like?

Daily Paul

The Hidden Cost of Wars:

Just when the human tragedy becomes evident to a majority of the citizens, other costs become noticeable. Taxes are raised, deficits explode, inflation raises its ugly head, and the standard of living for the average citizen is threatened. Funds for the war, even if immediate direct taxes are not levied, must come from the domestic economy, and everyone suffers. The economic consequences of the Vietnam War were felt throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s.

As the problems mount, the falsehoods and distortions on which the war was based become less believable and collectively resented. The government and the politicians who pursued the policy lose credibility. The tragedy, however, is that once even the majority discovers the truth, much more time is needed to change the course of events. This is the sad part.

~Rep. Ron Paul

7. Are they in the Tea Party? Have them learn the Entire U.S. Constitution.

Many Libertarians are disappointed because the same Republicans who were partially responsible for the reckless actions of the Bush Administration (and past administrations) have essentially taken over the Tea Party movement: A liberty movement that originated from a group of people who grew tired of both parties that completely ignored the U.S. Constitution.

The original Tea Party began with Ron Paul. He espouses the U.S. Constitution. The Tea Party movement demanded the government to obey the laws that are stated in our U.S. Constitution. Our Founding Fathers made these rules for a reason.

Send them some Ron Paul, Tom Woods, and Judge Andrew Napolitano videos and/or books. They are great Professors. This video is also a great starting point.

8. Introduce them to real journalists.

Do they take their marching orders from the Mainstream Republican Media? Tell them to find other sources.

People such as Paul Ryan and Sarah Palin have been heavily promoted within the MRM (Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, most of talk radio, etc) as people who champion the Constitution. They aren't: Here and here.

The U.S. Constitution is suddenly in vogue with the MRM because they want to vaporize the authentic liberty movement and return it to the same Republicans who are partially responsible for the current mess. Again, the Federal Reserve controls many of those in both parties and the corporate media has a vested interest in keeping Neocons in power.

Paul Ryan's voting record is anything but Constitutional and Sarah Palin could give any RINO a run for their money. I have met many Tea Party people who have been brainwashed into believing that these people are saviors. Many don't know Paul Ryan voted for TARP. This video and article demonstrates how untrustworthy the MRM can be.

The Fox News and Rush Limbaugh type Republican talking heads are the same people who sold the country a GOP that is no different than the Democrat party. There are plenty of alternatives these days. The Southern Avenger? Lew Rockwell? Alex Jones? Judge Andrew Napolitano?

9. Ask them if they know the real reasons behind past and current wars.

Are our wars really fought for our freedoms?

Most of our wars are really fought for undisclosed reasons to the general public. Money seems to be the main reason. Consider one of our earliest wars: World War I. The Federal Reserve funded all sides and made handsome profits.

Oddly enough, the Federal Reserve was created in 1913 and WWI began in 1914. Have them conduct a little research or send them information. They will discover that most of our wars began with false and suspicious pretenses.

10. Tell them that peace activists are not the enemy. They're also fighting on behalf of the U.S. Constitution.

Many peace advocates are also protesting on behalf the U.S. Constitution and their love for America. Many do it out of love for their country. People who oppose wars, just as people who oppose taxes do not hate the U.S. Many protest because they love their country. Should everyone within the Tea Party movement embrace peace activists because they're upholding parts of the U.S. Constitution?

Most of us understand that the World has always been at war and it's technically unattainable. People have been fighting since the beginning of time. On the other hand, peace is a highly viable option and we have achieved far more with Vietnam in our time of peace than our time of war. Perhaps we should obey the part of the U.S. Constitution where it says we must declare our wars?

Alaska is famous as a region, where salmon fishing can be practiced. Salmon fishing is unique and it can be done mainly on the shores of Alaska, which attract many enthusiasts to try their luck. For the convenience of the anglers, Alaska offers great tourist overnight accommodations, called fishing lodges. Alaska fishing lodges can be the perfect place for your holiday, and very affordable too. Here are the most popular Alaska fishing lodges where many fishermen come to stay a couple of weeks.

Alaska Fishing Lodge- Custom Adventures.
The website for more information available runs as: www.wildernessplacelodge.com
Wilderness Place Lodge is situated on five private acres right on Lake Creek, its location being 70 miles northwest of Anchorage. Their lodge offers the best relaxing activities and great opportunities for adventurous salmon fishing, as well as courses in fly-fishing, world class fishing, personal and professional fishing guides. Let alone the gourmet 5-course meals, the hotel’s amenities and the luxurious accommodations at the meanest price- this fishing lodge offers you also the biggest opportunity to overreach your fishing standards as it is located only minutes from the best fishing place in southcentral Alaska. Their lodge also features some of the best spin and fly fishing in Alaska. In addition, you can get your adventure packages for all kinds of Alaska salmon (King, Silver, Pink, Chum and Sockeye), and also tickets for rainbow trout.

The second Alaska fishing lodge on offer is www.alaska-adventures.net . Their Alaska fishing lodge can be found 40 miles away from the town King Salmon Alaska, which is world famous for the great fishing there. Alaska Adventures Fishing Lodge is situated in the centre of Katmai National park. And that can ensure your big catch. Their Alaska Adventures Fishing Lodge can host 20 guests, each fishing lodge cabin accommodating from 2 to 4 people. The hotel amenities consist of dining and serving room, recreation area, the hotel offers Alaska traditional wood sauna, also hot showers and flush toilets, as well as TV, DVD and satellite phone.

This fantastic place is reachable only on boat. The quietness and serenity offered are immense- there are no roads and airports in the district. Another way for getting there is by using the Austin’s tours.
Their lodge is situated on the banks of the Golsovia River, only 300 yards from the river mouth. The river itself is located on Norton Sound on the shores of the Bering Sea. The waters teem with King, Silver, Chum and Pink Salmon. Arctic Char can also be easily run against, when passing by your lure, just having swum from the pure ocean. The striking situation of the lodge –its nearness to the ocean- offers immense opportunities for a real big catch. Daily quantity exceeds 30-40 during the summer (June till August being the peak time). But the owners are also trying to preserve the wildlife, and after the reaching of limits, the catch-and-release technique is practised.

Going Deep For Alaska Salmon Fishing

By Andrew Kasch

If you are planning an Alaska vacation in order to do some fishing, you are no doubt going to be in for some of the best fishing of your life. One thing that you should absolutely try whenever you're in the state is some salmon fishing. This can be done in a lot of different ways and most people tend to hire a guide in order to check out some of the local streams and even to be flown in to remote areas. While you're here, however, you should make sure that you plan at least one day where you are going to be doing some Alaska salmon fishing in the ocean.

The salmon will spend most of its life in the ocean and the only time it will return to the freshwater is whenever it is running in to breed. Some of the best salmon fishing that you will ever have, can be done in the salt water, especially whenever the salmon are running. Almost any breed of salmon can be caught in the ocean and the experience of being out on a charter boat, catching these fish can certainly add to the overall enjoyment of your vacation.

One thing that you will want to make sure that you do is to hire a charter boat in order to do your saltwater salmon fishing. It is possible to rent and to go out on your own but this can be hazardous, especially if you're not familiar with the oceans of Alaska. Not only that, the salmon are more spread out and they can be difficult to find where they are running unless you are experienced in the area. By hiring a charter, you will almost guarantee your success and a great day out on the water. Not only that, they will have most of the equipment that is necessary in order for you to enjoy a great day out on the water.

Of course, you may also want to spend a little bit of time inland fishing as well. Whenever the salmon runs are going on in the summer and early fall, the fishing onshore can be nothing short of phenomenal. Whenever the silver salmon are running, you can see them jumping almost constantly in the bay and it is relatively easy to land one while standing on shore. I usually advise anglers to try as many different types of salmon fishing whenever they are in the state. After all, it is not every day that you get to travel this far in order to do some fishing.

By including some deep sea Alaska salmon fishing in your schedule, you will round out your fishing vacation and give yourself an opportunity to really enjoy your stay in this unique state. There are plenty of charters that are available but make sure that you book yours well in advance because they can get fairly busy during the season.

Fishing Salmon in Alaska

Alaska has a well developed tourism sector that welcomes thousands of anglers from all over the world each year. Since Alaska is such a huge land area with a long coast line and numerous streams and rivers, you can still enjoy secluded wildlife fishing without having to venture into crowds of other fishermen.

Sport fishers that travel to Alaska will typically purchase an all-inclusive trip since this means that they can focus entirely on fishing and waste no time looking for accommodations, worrying about logistics and searching for restaurants while being far away from any town. Since many parts of Alaska is inaccessible by ordinary cars, finding a fishing trip arranger that can provide you with small catered airplanes, off-road vehicles and fishing boats is a very good idea. Having someone else taking care of the meal arrangements when you are off in the wilderness is also appreciated by many sport fishers.

When you begin to shop around for a trip adviser you should ideally compare many different trip arrangers before you select one. Take advantage of the Internet and compare prices and services online, and don’t hesitate to send e-mails or call different companies to find out about details that are important to you. When you look around for a trip arranger, it can be useful to keep in mind that Alaska is divided into six regions: Southwest Alaska, Southeast Alaska, Alaska Interior, South Central, the Kenai Peninsula, and the Kodiak region. Southwest Alaska is where you will find the large Bristol Bay; an area very popular among sport fishers. Southeast Alaska will contain fishing destinations such as the Price of Wales Island, while Alaska Interior is where you should go if you want to enjoy fishing in the Copper River. South Central is situated next to the Prince William Sound, and the Kenai Peninsula is of course the region in which you will find the Kenai River. Finally, the Kodiak region is where you can fish salmon in the famous River Kodiak.

If you really want to splash out during your Alaska salmon fishing your can choose one of the exclusive private islands where you will enjoy first-rate accommodation, supreme restaurants and even be pampered with saunas and steam rooms after a long day of fishing. Others prefer a more rough and traditional way of life during their fishing trip, and enjoy the quite life of a simple hut far away from any signs of civilization. Chop your own wood and create a cosy fire, cook the catch of the day on the old-fashion stove and spend the evening in candle light or watching the stars far away from any stressful urban dwellings.

When you research the different accommodation alternatives, it is important to find out how many people they can accommodate. Some private Alaskan trip organisers will only be able to receive a few individuals, which makes them a great alternative if you are travelling alone or with a small company, but less suitable if you are a part of a large group.
